Sand Pit Entry
Sand pit entry is £7 per child, Monday–Friday during school
term time, and £10 per child at weekends, in-service days and during school holidays.

Play Area Policy
To help keep our sand clean and safe for everyone, shoe coverings must be put on before entering the sand pit, or you can wear your own socks. Sandland provides shoe coverings. Putting on shoe coverings or changing into socks should be done on the foam tiles. Any shoes chosen to be taken off should be stored in the racks provided.
We ask that sand is kept low and kind — no throwing or unsafe play, please. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times, and a participation waiver must be completed before play. While sand play is part of the fun, sand is not intended to be eaten, and any ingestion or related illness remains the responsibility of the parent or guardian. If play becomes unsafe, our team may step in and ask for a break from the sand area.

At Sand Land, we believe every child should have the chance to play, dig, and build with sand — no matter what the Aberdeen weather is doing outside. That’s why we created the city’s only indoor sand play area and café, giving families a safe, fun, and imaginative space all year round. Our play area is designed to spark creativity, encourage learning through play, and let kids enjoy the magic of the beach without the rain, wind, or cold. Parents can relax with a coffee in our café while little ones explore, build castles, and make memories. Sand Land isn’t just a play area — it’s a place where families come together, where children’s imaginations run free, and where every visit feels like a mini holiday right here in Aberdeen.

Sand Pit Footwear Policy
Children may either keep their shoes on by wearing Sandland-approved shoe coverings or remove their shoes and wear their own socks.
Shoe coverings should be put on, or shoes removed, on the foam tiles around the edge of the sand pit.
Any shoes taken off must be stored in the racks provided. Changing on the foam tiles helps keep sand contained and the surrounding play and seating areas as clean as possible.
Sand Cleanliness
We take pride in keeping our sand fresh and hygienic. Cinnamon is regularly added to deter bugs and keep the play area safe. To help us maintain this, we kindly ask that no outside food or drink is consumed in the play area — only food and drinks purchased from our café are allowed.
Play Time & Session Bands
To ensure fairness for everyone, play is limited to the time shown on your coloured wristband. When your session ends, we kindly ask that you leave the play area unless you have booked and paid for another slot. This helps us manage capacity and ensures all families get the chance to enjoy their time at Sand Land.
Accessibility & Seating
All of our seating is upstairs, except for one table located downstairs. This table is reserved specifically for wheelchair users and guests who may find stairs difficult.
If you need this table, please phone to book this table to avoid disappointment.
We always do our best to accommodate everyone, but due to space limitations, accessible seating is limited to this one table.
No-Show Policy
If you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your booking time, your reservation will be considered a no-show.
Unfortunately, deposits are non-refundable, and the table may be given to another guest if needed.
This helps us manage busy periods fairly and make sure tables don’t go unused.
